The Nano-Air Ultralight Freeride Jacket is Patagonia’s answer to the constant shift between stormy ridgelines, sweaty climbs, and fast descents. Built for snow, it balances weather protection and breathability so you can keep moving without second-guessing your layers.
The hood and shoulders use a tougher, weather-resistant stretch ripstop, while the body breathes with lighter recycled fabric and just enough 20-gram FullRange® insulation. It’s warmth you don’t have to shed the moment you start working hard. Underarm panels vent heat, the articulated cut moves with you, and the longer freeride fit works just as well skinning up as it does under a pack on the way down.
The Light Touch Expansion Hood pulls on easily over a beanie and slips under a helmet without fuss. Pockets stay low-profile, cuffs slide cleanly under gloves, and the whole thing comes in just over 300 grams—ready to disappear in your pack when the weather turns. Made in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory from 100% recycled fabrics, with a DWR finish free of intentionally added PFAS.
Bottom line: ultralight insulation for skiers and riders who move fast in variable mountain conditions—breathable on the climb, protective on the ridge, streamlined for the descent.
